PRICES EFFECTIVE July 2008 AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE
Leather Colors: The colors and shades of leathers are subject to change, even on the same hide. As I tell people, look at yourself in the mirror; are you the exact same color all over? No? Then neither are cows, especially the Chestnut color that we carry. The tan normally stays the same per hide, however, the semi-naked leathers change from edge to middle to edge, and from head to back to tail. This is natural, and they call it a marble effect. The natural vegetable tanned leather can and WILL change colors as it ages, so be sure to expect that. Normally to the darker, rarely if ever lighter.
Leather Color Disclaimer: We attempt to provide web images of our leather products that closely match their natural colors. However, due to the differing color settings of a multitude of computer monitors, we cannot guarantee that the color you see on your monitor will exactly match what you receive. Even if all monitors displayed the same colors, due to the nature of leather tanning processes there are slight differences between loads of leather we receive from the tannery. Motorcycle brand names are provided for reference only. Products appearing on this webpage are not licensed or endorsed by any listed motorcycle manufacturers.
Attention: If you are purchasing a seat from Heather's Leathers we will need one of the following as a core charge: a seat pan from you, or the cost of a seat pan. (This could include any Indian/Harley or other make that is in usable condition.) If we do not receive a core from you, we will then charge you for a core. In addition, this core charge is in addition to the cost of your seat.
RUSH CHARGES “will” apply if you need us to move your order to the front of the production schedule. The minimum rush order charge is $25.00, or 25% whichever is greater. Note that this is a minimum! It can go up to, and above $100.00, depending upon circumstances at the time of the requested rush.
QUANTITY ORDERS Quantity pricing is available. A written purchase order and a partial pre-payment must accompany quantity orders. Expect a minimum of 8 weeks to prepare order for shipment. Quantity orders are non-refundable. SHIPPING Now on to the shipping, normally we used Fed Ex Ground for all of our shipping. Occasionally, we may ship a package with UPS, or even the US Post Office. This being said, we will no longer ship “Any” item outside the continental 48 states with the US Post Office. If you absolutely insist on using the US Post Office, outside the US, we will ship the item, but after it leaves our hands, it’s gone! Please, do not call us, {if you choose the Post Office}, and it never arrives. Sorry about the bluntness of this message, but, we’ve never had a satisfactory shipment with the US Post Office. This also includes Canada. Unless otherwise specified, we will ship Fed Ex Ground or UPS Ground. We can ship 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, or Next Day Air, and higher shipping rates will apply. Please note: When standard shipping is selected, Heather’s Leathers determines the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. We normally use UPS for shipments. All shipments made outside of the US will be priced to actual shipping charges. All shipments require a street address for delivery.
Duties and Taxes International orders are subject to duties and taxes. The recipient is responsible for payment of applicable duties, taxes and other fees. Please contact your customs office for information on duties, taxes, and restricted items. Shipments within the state are required to pay 7% sales tax. Shipments outside of South Carolina are not required to pay South Carolina sales tax. We inspect all merchandise prior to shipment and all damage claims become the responsibility of the carrier. The recipient must make claims for damage with the carrier, not with Heather’s Leathers.
When sending us your items to be worked on, please include your return shipping address, daytime telephone number and an itemized list and description of parts (even if only one item), in case of damage caused during shipping. Without an itemized list, we have no way of knowing if the shipment is complete, or if all the parts shipped have been retrieved from the package.
Heather’s Leathers will not be held responsible for parts lost in disposed packaging. If there is a discrepancy between your packing list, and what was found in the box, you will be contacted as soon as possible. Heather’s Leathers will not be held liable for incoming damage due to negligent packaging. RETURNS No returns will be accepted after 30 days from date of shipment. There is a restocking fee of 35% on all returned merchandise. A copy of your receipt must accompany all returns. Please Note that under no circumstances will “ANY REFUNDS” be issued on “ANY CUSTOM” (seat, saddle bags, etc…) , or any other Work Preformed, (as the majority of the cost for custom work is for labor). This will include, but not limited to embroidery, carving, custom leather colors, custom stitching colors, custom designs of any type, nor the cost of the shipping back and forth between Heather’s Leathers, and the customer. I am not responsible for the placement, fit, mounting and function after you receive your (seat, saddle bags, etc…); this is left solely up to the customer to d this. Nor am I responsible if there have been any changes, or modifications done in any amount to the (seat base, saddle bags, etc…) in which I have made for you.
This will also include the fitting/mounting of any (of the antique motorcycle seats, saddle bags, etc…, pre 1965), to any of the metric motorcycles, or any of the other motorcycles, of any make, of any year, for which the (seat base, saddle bags, etc…) did not come stock from the factory on your motorcycle. In other words if you order a (seat /saddle bags etc…) for your Post- 1965 motorcycle, with the intent of custom mounting the (seat/saddle bags etc…) to your motorcycle, and the (seat /saddle bags etc…) are in anyway custom made to your tastes… they are yours! I am not Wal-Mart. There “IS” no return! The only exception is if I “grossly” did not build you, your (seat, saddle bags, etc…) , according to your design(s). What you do with the custom ordered (seat /saddle bags etc…) after you get it, is up to you. But, remember I still have my lifetime warranty; I will fix it or replace it at the then current “half price” of Retail.
Items Left over 180 Days Be it known that Heather’s Leathers will no longer keep customers’ items beyond (180), One hundred and eighty days without incurring a storage charge of $1.00 a day from the point of job completion, with a minimum of $30.00 to be added to the final invoice as a storage charge. Items will continue to incur charges up to one year without hearing from said customer(s). Anything left at Heather’s Leathers one year or longer, will be considered the sole ownership of Heather’s Leathers, and will be left up to me as to what I see fit to do with it, which could include but not limited to: Selling, trading, or throwing away, at my option. Sorry I have had to do this, but space is very limited, and it will be guaranteed, that it will not be here after a year is up, without contact from said customer.

Retail customers, if you happen to drop your bike and destroy one of our seats send it back to us, and we'll repair, or replace it (our option), for 1/2 of the “then” current retail price. This would also include spilling brake fluid, or battery acid on your seat cover. If a motorcycle is not ridden and maintained properly, they can be dangerous. A customer who is not qualified, or confidant enough of his own mechanical expertise, should hire a qualified mechanic to do the installation of the seats, bags, or any other items that Heather’s Leathers sells. Motorcycles used in competition or off road are not covered by, and are exempt from, any and all warranties.
